The 12-story building forms the eastern gateway to Canary Wharf. It is clad in a vertical expression of alternating clear glass windows and granite panels. The distinctive elevations draw inspiration from optical art so that, as the observer's vantage point moves, the character and materials of the building change. Depending on the perspective view, the dominant building material will appear to be glass, granite or metal. A generous amount of glass on the northern elevation maximizes natural light with minimal solar gain. Stainless steel edges catch light and sun reflections. The floors benefit from striking views into the heart of the district. The building is specified to an enhanced Canary Wharf standard with additional resilience to ensure it exceeds modern business requirements. These enhancements include three 2 MVA standby generators, three additional passenger lifts on half of the building, communication rooms, kitchenettes and unrivalled cooling capacity. A distinguished addition to the Canary Wharf skyline. It provides a new perspective. Open squares, promenades, shops, restaurants and bars are abundant in a district unrivalled for the mix of retail and offices, enhanced by the selection of arts and leisure facilities.
