The building houses the Council of Representatives and the Federal Council all in one building. This will cover 204,000sq m and be able to hold a maximum of 30,000 people.
The core of the complex is the parliamentary hall that is situated inside a conical volume and is intended to represent the transparency of the legislation. The project will also include water fountains and palm trees both inside and outside the main building.
The parliament is a very important building in Iraq to reflect the 21st century Iraq. Symbolically it will be very important not just for Iraq but for the region
