The Kingdom Holding master plan was developed to create a major self-contained urban sub-centre in northern Jeddah, establishing a new quality of development and infrastructure for the city.
The site was planned as a stand-alone development with an integrated mix of community services, schools, mosques and healthcare facilities. The land use plan creates a new business centre for commercial offices, as well as new residential developments that provide housing types not readily available in the Jeddah market.
The master plan focuses on sustainability and concentrated planned growth. Based on these principles, the site was organized into a series of distinct neighbourhoods. This strategy reinforces the connections between the neighbourhoods and the larger urban community. Kingdom City’s sustainable urban environment creates a mix of land uses, landscapes, high-tech infrastructure, construction standards and world-class liveability standards that set this community apart from other developments in the region.
