Known for its culture and natural landscape, the master plan draws its inspiration from Yixing's history and people' s living culture to create a new waterfront culture. Regenerating a unused and lifeless water's edge, the design reconnects forgotten land by linking function and lifestyle together with the natural land environment by injecting cultural programs and local culture along the water promenade to encourage people to experience the natural beauty of the site.
Keeping rich to its roots, the design maximises the outdoor space and wildlife growth by creating more wetlands and parks together with sustainable wind and solar technology and introducing water vessel to reduce the amount of pollution. The overall master plan forms a series of self sustaining residential and working communities but linked together by a vibrant and active water's edge to draw in guests and visitors as well as creating a experience for the people who lives in the area.
